Mana Spirits, known also as the elementals of the world, are magical beings representative of the elements which make up the world and all of the creatures within it.

The Elementals are descended from the Mana Goddess, the embodiment of the creative and destructive forces of Mana, each being born from the light which formed the respective elements of Fa'Diel.

All people and beasts within Fa'Diel feel strong connections to certain Elementals in particular, although only two at the most. However, with that connection, they also feel the effects of the opposing Elementals.
